Adventure Activities in Moray
Basically, the to-do list is endless from cycling, climbing, paintballing, river rafting, canyoning, clay shooting, fishing. If into bikes, you need to check out Moray Monster Trails near the coast or the Glenlivet Estate for mountain biking. There is also a sneaky little trail in Sanquhar woods for those really wanting to stay local.
Plenty of beaches worth visiting for an afternoon or all-day stroll; Lossiemouth, Burghead, Cullen, Roseisle, Hopeman and Findhorn. Culbin Forest is a must with its walking/cycling tracks that lead to a hidden beach.
Logie Steading – Visitor Centre & Unique Shopping Village is well worth a visit for sure and only a 2-minute drive from ACE. There you will find unique little shop outlets selling beautiful handicrafts at Hellygog, Giles Pearson Antiques, Bookshop, Timeless (clothing & accessories), Art Gallery, Farm & Garden Shop, The Olive Tree Cafe and my favourite Logie Whisky & Wine – they do the most amazing selection of whisky and for the gin lovers out there, a huge selection to choose from – they even sell the mixers – one-stop-shop!
In winter, head to the Cairngorm National Park; it has three ski centres and is the UK’s most popular skiing destination.
So, while some people like to spend their days sightseeing/walking or shopping, others want a more challenging activity to do, so before you start planning your trip to Moray, you should consider adding an ACE adventure to your itinerary to please the outdoor get goers in your group.
