A yoga retreat provided by an experienced, passionate professional
The yoga retreat is run by father-daughter partnership Robin Watkins-Davis and Jim Davis. Robin has a long held passion for yoga, investing an incredible amount of time and effort into the practice since she was 13. When she was 17, Robin became qualified as Britatin’s youngest yoga instructor. Now 19, Robin has a dedication to sharing yoga with young people to promote positive health and wellbeing, with experience teaching in schools and prisons. Robin is also the youth ambassador for ‘British Wheel of Yoga’, the governing body of yoga in the UK, and is working hard to improve youth wellbeing in education.
Rest assured your kids will be in safe hands under Robin’s guidance; she is fully qualified, insured, has the relevant DBS clearances and is a qualified first aider.
Outdoor adventures in Scotland with Ace Adventures
Jim Davis is the founder of Ace Hideaways and Ace Adventures and is an expert in outdoor education and white water rafting. A personal development and life coach, Jim is also a qualified first aider and outdoor activity instructor. With over 30 years’ experience as a professional river guide, Jim has worked all over the world and is an assessor for the International Rafting Federation. So as far as the white water rafting part of the retreat goes, you couldn’t be in safer hands than with Jim.
What will the kids be doing on the yoga retreat?
Over the course of the yoga retreat, your child will take part in activities and group work that will tech them how to:
- Practice yoga safely
- Destress and calm the mind using meditation and breathing techniques
- Connect with nature: They’ll be going for daily walks along the River Findhorn and the gorgeous beach at Findhorn Bay
- Work as a team, allowing them to meet and connect with new friends
- Improve self confidence and explore their sense of adventure with exciting outdoor activities such as white water rafting
- Cook their own food and promote a healthy, balanced diet
- Have fun without constant use of social media or gaming!
