Spending time together as a family is one of life’s greatest joys. It gives you much-needed time together away from the daily routine, allows parents to share their adventurous know-how and creates memories that will last a lifetime. Packed with fun, action and adventure, our activities will keep everyone entertained, providing new thrills and experiences. Activities on the water include white water rafting, canyoning, river tubing with cliff jumping and canoe/kayaking.

Adventure is great for kids. It teaches them to be resilient and to discover and learn about new environments, to have a go, try new things, to work hard and discover what they are capable of. It can also teach them new skills and attitudes for a better life.

The potential for adventure is around us everyday all year round, that’s if you can be bothered to get out, go somewhere new, do something new or do something differently together.
At ACE we also have a land based activities for those not wanting to get their feet wet! The 27 hole frisbee golf course can be challenging and certainly a great way to work on team spirit together as a family. Start off on the short first nine holes and progress onto doing the whole 18 holes on our family friendly course – dogs are even welcome too! When you have mastered 18 holes then you are ready to challenge the outback nine – that will certainly test your skills.
And, if you really want to go a step further, then a family game of paintball is a must to show your tactical side, capture the flag and run to victory! Camouflage overalls are supplied to keep you well hidden – just bring sensible shoes you can run about in.

We all know how much we benefit from not just spending time together as a family but time outdoors too. Here you can combine both family time with some adventurous activities.
It is no understatement to say that most kids love camping.
Once you have invested in the camping gear, then camping is an affordable way to enjoy the outdoors and be tv free for a while to just enjoy the most amazing natural environment surrounding you. It really is fun to play cards and board games together – it is all about getting away from the usual daily routine and reconnecting with each other.
If you prefer the thought of travelling light, then opting for a bell tent already set up complete with cosy wood burner inside might sound more appealing – that way you have less set up than you would taking your own tent and you know you will be dry whatever the Scottish weather throws at you!
